Liverpool is currently without two of its most important players in midfielder Thiago and winger Luis Daz.

Thiago has been missing since the middle of February with a hip problem, sidelining for him seven successive matches.

And Daz has been out even longer, having suffered a knee injury back in October before a setback at the clubs Dubai training camp in December extended his lay-off.

Looking through the Liverpool squad, plenty of players have picked up significant injuries at some point during the campaign.

Virgil van Dijkwas ruled out for seven matches with a hamstring injury at the start of the year, while fellow center-backIbrahima Konathas missed a cumulative 13 matches with the problems hes encountered.

In midfield, injury woes have continued forNaby Keïta(22 games),Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain(14 games), and to a lesser extent,Curtis Jones(seven games), while summer loan signingArthurhas barely been able to feature.

And in attack, Diogo Jota has only been fit for 15 matches, while Roberto Firmino spent six weeks on the treatment table from December until last month.

Totting up every absence, Liverpool has the worst injury record in the Premier League, and by some distance.

A table shared by expert Ben Dinnery shows that, as of March 11, Reds players had missed a combined 162 games through injury, 38 more than second-place Chelsea.

Top-four rival Newcastle is third with 122, with Manchester United seventh on 102.

League leader Arsenal is faring much better in 14th (79), virtually level with Spurs (78), while Manchester City is 19th on just 49 a mere 30 per cent of Liverpools tally.
